This Scope of Work outlines the responsibilities and deliverables for an experienced Senior Social Media Manager. The role requires managing six distinct social media accounts, ensuring alignment with the company's goals, and driving engagement and growth across all platforms. The Senior Social Media Manager will work independently, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expertise in executing the following tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Development:
- Understand Company Needs/Goals: Conduct an in-depth analysis of each brand's objectives, target audience, and market positioning. Deliverable: A strategic document outlining the social media objectives and KPIs for each account.
- Trend and Competitor Research: Identify industry trends, monitor competitor activity, and leverage insights to inform content strategy. Deliverable: Three monthly reports summarising trends, competitor activities, and actionable insights.
Content Acquisition and Editing
- Brief and Script Creation: Develop detailed content briefs and scripts for all video and photo shoots. Deliverable: Scripted content briefs with creative direction for approval before production.
- Shooting Organisation and Execution: Coordinate all logistics for content shoots, including location scouting, scheduling, and talent management. Execute the content shoot, ensuring all required assets are captured effectively. Deliverable: Successfully completed content shoots with all required assets.
- Content Editing (Video and Photo): Edit video and photo content to align with brand guidelines and platform specifications. Deliverable: Finalised video and photo content, ready for publishing.
Editorial Planning and Execution
- Editorial Plan Development: Create an editorial plan that outlines content themes and posting schedules for each account. Deliverable: An editorial calendar detailing planned content and publication dates.
- Copywriting: Write compelling and brand-aligned copy for social media posts, ensuring clarity and engagement. Deliverable: Copy for all scheduled posts, tailored to each platform's audience and format.
- Scheduling: Schedule posts across all accounts. Deliverable: Timely scheduled posts, ensuring consistent and optimal content delivery.
Community Management
- Inbound Management (Reply to DMs and Comments): Monitor and respond to incoming messages and comments promptly, fostering positive engagement.
- Deliverable: Documented interactions with followers, resolving inquiries and building
- relationships.
- Outbound Management (Reach Out to New People): Proactively engage with
- potential followers by liking, commenting, and following relevant accounts. Deliverable: A report on outreach activities, including new followers gained and engagement metrics.
Reporting
- Performance Reporting: Create a detailed report that highlights the activities, engagement metrics, growth, and overall performance for each account. Deliverable: Monthly reports for each account, including analysis and recommendations for improvement.
In order to fulfil these tasks, the candidate will collaborate with a graphic designer and local content creators.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, managing multiple accounts.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, copywriting, and editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in content creation and editing software.

- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Availability to attend pre-arranged meetings from 9am to 6pm
- Remote work - The candidate can operate from any location. However, face to face meetings are required.
BUDGET
- Hourly rate varies on experience and availability.
- Starting budget range: $45k per annum
