Job Description: Social Media Coordinator
For over two decades, Omega Events has been a leader in live entertainment, bringing world-class musicians and their fans together at a variety of music festivals, winery concerts, and special events. We work with some of the finest musicians in the world, have developed a loyal base of customers, and we strive to remain ahead of the curve as it relates to event branding, social media engagement, and customer satisfaction. In 2025, our calendar includes festivals and concerts in Newport Beach, Mammoth Lakes, Las Vegas, San Diego and Temecula.
Omega Events is hiring a Social Media Coordinator, reporting to the Creative Marketing Director, who will managing the social media accounts for various music festivals and concerts across Southern California. You will create engaging content that captures the energy of our events and the hearts of our attendees. We are seeking a creative marketing professional who has proven work experience and can join the team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of the current trends on social media channels, and one who possesses the skillset to create and deliver this content.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Social Media Coordination: You’ll oversee our social media channels, posting regularly for each event and keeping everything on schedule. With guidance from the Creative Marketing Director, you’ll bring our game plan to life across all platforms, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure all content is approved and aligns with project goals.
- Content Creation: While heavy video editing is handled externally, you’ll collaborate with our Video Editor to make sure all our creative needs are met. You’ll also handle simple edits, source photos, and assist in brainstorming the creative vision for each brand.
- Copywriting: From crafting compelling newsletters to writing snappy copy for reels, graphics, and posts, you’ll help us increase engagement and drive ticket sales.
- Research: Staying ahead of social media trends is key! You'll be our go-to for all things Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and more.
- Asset Management: Post-event, you’ll organize and manage all media assets from photographers and videographers, ensuring everything is labeled and stored properly.
- On-Site Content Management: During events, the Creative Marketing Director will handle most of the filming and capturing of key moments and live footage. Your role will be to manage, sort, and edit this content on-site, posting engaging stories and updates throughout the event. This includes creating live posts, showcasing behind-the-scenes moments, and crafting quick edits to highlight the event’s best features. Be prepared for long hours and fast-paced work, ensuring our social media channels are buzzing with excitement!
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing and/or social media. (preferred but not required)
- A passion for social media and live music. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter should be second nature to you.
- Strong writing and copywriting skills, with experience creating compelling content for various platforms.
- A proactive, creative mindset and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Hours & Compensation:
- Approximately 35-40 hours per week, possibly longer during festival/concert weeks. (full-time)
- $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
- 30-day probation period
- Benefits after 30 days include paid vacation, holidays, and a 401(k) program.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of social media experience (preferred)
- Experience with copywriting for digital marketing, including social media posts, newsletters, and promotional content.
- Basic video editing skills and an eye for visual content creation.
