Our client is seeking a Safety Operations Manager for their Miami area to oversee safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures.
- Supervise safety and quality control activities across all projects, ensuring that safety protocols and quality standards are consistently met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to integrate safety and quality requirements into all project phases.
- Develop and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders on safety performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed by field personnel and subcontractors.
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and deliver engaging safety training programs and presentations for employees, ensuring they are well-informed and adhere to safety protocols.
- Investigate and report on accidents and near-misses and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and company policies.
- Review and analyze quality metrics and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage fleet safety programs to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Implement and oversee driver safety training programs, focusing on defensive driving, accident prevention, and vehicle operation best practices.
- Monitor and analyze fleet safety data, including incident reports and driver performance, to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor all employees, fostering a safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture.
- Support various company initiatives and projects as needed, contributing to overall organizational success and efficiency.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of work of field service technicians and subcontractors.
- Safety audits, inspections, and industry standards.
- Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous ERP experience is a plus.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers, as well as customers.
