Ascent AeroSystems is currently looking to hire a UAS Support Engineer to join our team. This role collaborates with operations and engineering to provide excellent technical support for our UAS aircraft and services. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing customer and production support, and collaborating with the engineering team to improve product functionality and user experience. The ideal candidate is a roll-up-your-sleeves, high energy, collaborative UAS enthusiast who works well on a team and individually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain expert level knowledge of our UAS products to be a trusted resource both within Ascent AeroSystems and with potential/existing customers.
- Develop triage and resolution techniques to promptly resolve customer issues while leading technical troubleshooting of hardware, software, and operational issues.
- Ensure customer success by educating customers on the capabilities, operations, and maintenance of all UAS products.
- Serve as a resource to the production team on all challenges and inefficiencies and work closely with the engineering team to identify necessary Engineering, Manufacturing, or Process changes.
- Manage the recording of all support related issues and resolutions. Analyze and report on data to identify common issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in UAS technology.
- Create and update customer facing technical documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field, Robotics or other multi-disciplinary field preferred.
- Adept at technical troubleshooting, have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in technical support role preferred
- Previous experience and interest in UAS or other robotics systems preferred
May require limited travel to customer sites for integration, troubleshooting and training purposes.
