We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fund Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in managing fund operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in supporting our investment funds' financial health and transparency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting activities for assigned investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements related to the portfolios.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of investment transactions, cash positions, and performance data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform portfolio valuations, mark-to-market calculations, and fair value assessments for various assets.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as investment managers, operations, and compliance to address accounting-related issues and provide accurate information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, financing, accounting, etc. preferred
- 2+ years’ work experience in Fund Accounting within financial services
- Knowledge of accounting principles for mutual funds, hedge funds, PE funds
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Bloomberg.
