Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Roof Consultant to join their team in Phoenix. This role involves conducting roof assessments, damage analysis, non-destructive testing, and materials investigations for various types of facilities, including residential, commercial, and industrial. The ideal candidate will have experience in failure cause analysis, technical report writing, and construction litigation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct roof damage assessments and document as-built conditions.
- Investigate roof failures and determine causes.
- Develop repair scopes and cost estimates.
- Communicate with clients and coordinate with contractors and code officials.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in roofing for both new and existing structures, covering investigation, design, testing, and/or installation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building and roofing systems, including flashing, interfaces, and other details.
- Experience with both low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems, including BUR, metal panel systems, polymer-modified bitumen membranes, and more.
- Familiarity with roof testing methods such as infrared, nuclear, or electrical capacitance surveys, core sampling, and ASTM procedures.
- Strong understanding of local and national building codes and standard construction practices.
