Job Description:
The Senior Business Analyst will analyze and report on sales performance, manage data systems, and collaborate on key projects to support business objectives. This role involves enhancing data analysis capabilities, automating sales tracking, and supporting promotional strategies. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with management and various teams to develop models, analyze data, and ensure system accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales performance, including national promotions, sales volume, and gross profit.
- Expand capabilities in data analysis, focusing on areas like coupon effectiveness and market-basket analysis.
- Automate and maintain national sales tracking systems.
- Collaborate with management and partners to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and document business requirements, ensuring compliance through testing and validation.
- Support data integrity by working with IS teams to troubleshoot and enhance data collection processes.
- Assist with ad hoc analyses such as sales, profit, and price elasticity reports.
- Support inventory management and promotional forecasting.
- Work with data platforms to automate and improve access to sales and POS analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; MSBA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and data storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau and MicroStrategy.
- Knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus.
