Job Summary:
Leading IB in NYC seeking a VP of Liquidity Risk to join 2nd line of defense liquidity risk management team. In this role you’ll be responsible for the improvement of the liquidity risk management framework, reviewing and challenging 1st line processes, methodology and governance of stress testing models and limit management. Seeking someone with markets experience in either Prime Brokerage, Secured funding, Repo’s or Derivatives. Hybrid role, 2 days onsite in midtown NYC office.
Must have:
· 5+ years liquidity risk management experience
· Markets experience in either Prime Brokerage, Secured Funding, Repo’s or Derivatives
· Regulatory & senior stake holder experience
Job Description
As a Liquidity Risk Vice President you’ll be responsible for safeguarding the bank's financial stability by assessing, managing and mitigating liquidity risk, which revolves around the bank's ability to meet its short-term financial obligations and access funding at reasonable rates in different market conditions.
You’ll will be responsible for driving project improvement for the liquidity risk management framework, reviewing and challenging the 1st line's processes, and developing new control processes. This is an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your risk project leadership abilities and engage across products, business lines, and US regulators.

Responsibilities: · Development and implementation of a comprehensive liquidity risk framework, including metrics, forecasting models, liquidity limits and stress testing scenarios. · Assessment, review and improvement of the adequacy and appropriateness of Treasury’s strategies to optimize the bank's liquidity position, including managing cash reserves, borrowing facilities, and asset-liability matching. · Monitoring daily liquidity positions, inflows, outflows, and potential funding gaps and report on liquidity risk metrics to senior management and regulators. · Identification and assessment of potential sources of liquidity risk, such as market volatility, customer withdrawals, and regulatory changes. · Development and testing of contingency plans to address liquidity shortfalls and market disruptions and Implementation of corrective actions as needed to maintain adequate liquidity levels. Leadership Responsibilities: · Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
· Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. · Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. · Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. · Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies. · Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
