Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: 90-125k depending on years of experience
Location: Port Washington, NY - Full time on site
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
Summary: LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Port Washington, NY. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the manufacturing processes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and a strong understanding of manufacturing and production. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing engineering or production automation, with a proven track record in managing complex projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Oversight: Manage facility, utility, and tooling projects to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Tooling Coordination: Oversee tooling repairs and improvements, ensuring timely resolution and minimal production disruptions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and manage a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- CAPEX Participation: Engage in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) activities, including project planning, budgeting, and coordination.
- Production Trials Support: Assist in production trials, ensuring projects are executed on time and meet quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by making actionable suggestions and propositions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA requirements for manufacturing, ensuring all processes and practices are compliant.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or ample experience in the same type of position.
- Previous experience working in a Plant/factory is required in a similar position is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, plant/operations, or a technical role. Preferred 5-7 years.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer or Production Automation Engineer is highly relevant.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Extensive understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Familiarity with cGMP and FDA requirements related to manufacturing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement efforts and implementing best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software and tools.
