ByVerTek, an engineering and construction company specializing in fiber optic build projects, is seeking a highly skilled, motivated Manager of IT to lead and manage our IT operations, ensuring that our systems effectively support our operational needs.
The IT Manager will develop and implement IT projects aimed at unifying the company's technology stack. This person will also manage all technology at the company and help coworkers learn and use all software programs.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Work with the company's outsourced IT vendor to onboard and offboard employees
- Resolve IT support requests from employees.
- Install new software and hardware as needed, and change configurations, settings, and permissions to address computer issues.
- Monitor and manage endpoints using established MDM systems
- Maintain corporate networks
- Scope and implement new technology, as needed
- Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company
- Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
- Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
- Experience with network administration
