The data quality specialist role is an escalation point as well as someone who can process updates, maintaining Security Master data to align with current market standards. You will work closely with global teams to proactively address data management activities and assist with Change the bank (CTB) initiatives.
The team provides technical advice/support to both the business and internal stakeholders that includes the identification and resolution of security and pricing data quality issues. This requires a good understanding of the life cycle of a trade.
The role covers all asset classes for the firm, this includes Equities, Fixed Income (MBS, ABS, Corporate, Municipals), Derivatives (Swaps, Options, Futures), and Cash (CP, CD, TD, Repos).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years in the buy or sell side financial industry experience (asset management, private banking, investment banking).
- Ability to lead/guide through issues and mentor teams during time sensitive and high pressure situations.
- Experience working with portfolios, trading platforms (Aladdin) as well as excellent understanding of life cycle of a trade. Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, Refinitiv, Markit are a plus
- Understanding of maintaining Data Quality with current market standards, identifying issues and perform root cause analysis when there are gaps.
- Subject matter expert for Security Master set-ups and drive to obtain root cause of security reference data and pricing issues. Ability to make recommendations in efforts to create processing efficiencies.
- Act as escalation point for Front Office queries.
