Title: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Location: Perimeter Atlanta/ Sandy Springs 30328 - in office Th-T 3 days a week
Duration: Permanent/Full Time
Must Have Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer
- This person must come from a Network / Systems Engineer background b/c they must have migration experience. NOT someone from a Devops/Development background
- Experience leading an end-to-end migration project from on prem to Azure cloud
- 5+ years of working in an Azure environment
- Working knowledge of one or more high-level programming languages (C#, Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, Terraform, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of multi-tier architectures, load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices.
Day to day:
The Sr. Cloud Engineer is responsible for design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with the Microsoft Azure cloud and Azure cloud services. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to the success of our cloud initiatives.
- Responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure in an azure environment
- This person will be joining a 15-person team. He/she will be collaborating with the cloud operations team, cloud migration/architect, and cloud maintenance team.
- Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on Azure cloud technologies and services and provide operational support and troubleshooting on the most complex issues.
- Build, deploy, and maintain multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
- Assist in maintaining the services needed to bridge cloud and on-prem architecture
- Manage and operate scalable, highly available fault tolerant systems and develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring of our cloud-based systems.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
