Job purpose
As a Payroll/Benefits Associate, you will play a vital role in managing our staff payroll and benefits programs with enthusiasm and precision. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and processing semi-monthly payroll, crafting insightful reports, and analyzing payroll and benefits costs across various departments. You will also oversee benefits administration for all company staff, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support.
In this role, you will leverage your excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders. Your strong organizational abilities and time management will help you stay on top of tasks and deadlines. Reporting to the Global HR Director, you will be expected to uphold professional accountability and maintain high standards in all aspects of your work. Duties and responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll and benefits.
- Oversee new employee onboarding, including material distribution, orientation, and Company introduction.
- Administer compensation changes, such as bonuses and merit increases.
- Support HR Director with recruitment activities.
- Resolve employee queries and technical issues related to HR systems; escalate issues to HR Director as needed.
- Manage employee benefits and the open enrollment process.
- Handle employee data reporting and management, including ADP systems.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Holds at least an associate’s degree in HR or related field.
- ADP Hands on experience: Possesses 1-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits on ADP Workforce Now
- Other HR areas: Exposure to other areas of HR such as recruitment, performance management, employee engagement advantageous
- Reporting/ Analytics: Must have at least 1-year of experience with data analysis or reporting
- Tools: Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.
- Knowledge: Knowledgeable in employee payroll, benefits policies, regulatory legislation (e.g., FLSA, FMLA), and group benefit plans.
- Industry familiarity: Previous experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors or is advantageous.
