As the Director of Business Development at Surgical Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of new sales accounts nationwide. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be our specialist while you target and close new business sales, particularly in sterile processing, minimally invasive surgery, and endoscopy, among other defined areas. You will engage with hospitals at all levels, utilizing your strong business acumen and professional contacts within the hospital/medical space.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Market Growth
- Focus on sales growth in sterile processing, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, and other defined areas.
- Take ownership of the market to identify, target, and close new sales accounts.
2.Leadership
- Utilize strong leadership ability to manage a large geography while driving growth.
- Lead and manage the strategy with specialty executives.
3.Sales Lifecyle
- Prepare and present compelling proposals tailored to the unique needs of clients, showcasing the value of Surgical Solutions' offerings.
- Individually drive the sales process from targeting potential clients to negotiating contracts and successfully closing deals.
- Lead negotiations with clients to ensure favorable terms and conditions and manage the contract lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional products or upselling enhanced services to existing clients.
4.Client Engagement
- Develop and nurture professional relationships to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Work closely with customer support and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing satisfaction after the sale.
5.CRM Maintenance
- Proactively maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and market insights.
- Utilize the CRM tool for effective pipeline management and reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance and leadership teams to provide accurate sales forecasts based on market analysis and historical performance.
6.Communication Skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse stakeholders at various levels within both hospitals and internal teams.
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners to ensure a seamless integration of services and solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in a targeted market.
- In-depth knowledge of the contracting process and fiscal years within your designated market.
