Lead Python/Flask Developer - (FastAPI, React/TypeScript, Cloud) - On-Site in Houston, TX
Optomi, in partnership with one of the world’s largest independent oil and gas companies in the US, is seeking a Lead Python/Flask Developer to fulfill a long-term contract with a client based in Houston, TX.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development using Python/Flask and frontend experience with React.js/TypeScript. This role involves a deep understanding of data, APIs, and architecture to design and implement robust solutions. You will collaborate closely with users to gather requirements and lead the development team from a project perspective. While this position does not have direct reports, it requires a proactive leader who can own problems and drive them to resolution.

Apply Today If Your Background Includes:
- Strong experience with backend development using Python, particularly Flask and FastAPI
- Proficiency in frontend development with React (TypeScript/JavaScript)
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Solid understanding of API architecture and data management
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, distribute tasks, and lead projects effectively
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to own and resolve issues independently
- Familiarity with real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, and charting libraries
- Experience with GraphQL, Neo4j, and Azure is a plus
- Exposure to machine learning and AI integration is desirable
