FIELD SERVICE MANAGER
LOCATION: ASHBURN, VA
RATE: ($35HR-$40HR)
DURATION: CONTRACT TO HIRE

Maintenance Manager from the Transportation Industry (Ideal candidate)
Facilities Manager- A facilities leader like an Operations Manager or a Facilities Manager that takes care of the Federal or large building, which includes the AC unit computer systems, networking and low voltage to be able to bring these things together to make these things work for the building overall.
HVAC Manager- Another profile would be someone who has worked as a Manager as an HVAC. This profile would need to be someone who has networking skills and has installed systems, so this person should come from a large company, not a small HVAC shop. The person would have needed to see things at a larger scale to have the right background.
Job Summary
Directs the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance. Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained. Schedules personnel responding to critical situations. Maintains communication with management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bringing problems to the attention of appropriate personnel. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all maintenance tasks are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all employee administrative activities are being completed properly and promptly (timecards, expense reports, schedules, training, etc.).
- Performs quality control inspections
- Reports and supports system-related issues.
- Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports of activities to the customer and/or management
- Assists with equipment and system troubleshooting.
- Develop a plan to meet customer requirements and communicate the plan to staff.
- Manages and monitors the performance of field support personnel
- Meets with customers and staff periodically to maintain an understanding of service issues and progress.
- Plans and provides technical training to staff and/or contract personnel to maintain proficiency on system equipment.
- Monitors and administers company policies
- Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates maintenance programs.
- Develops, implements, and monitors local administration practices
- Has ownership of all maintenance activities within the assigned region
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages field support personnel, some through subordinate supervisors. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Administrative Duties (Managing inventory, scheduling, etc.)
- Clean Driver’s record
- Tolling experience and fiber experience are a plus.
