The Corporate Credit Manager will help lead and mentor a small team of analysts. This role is pivotal in managing credit risk, overseeing collections, and collaborating across departments and teams. You’ll play a crucial part in safeguarding the company’s financial interests by evaluating customer creditworthiness, establishing credit limits, and supporting the continued growth and success of the company.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead credit assessments and reviews for current customers, ensuring compliance with policies and taking proactive steps based on credit risk analysis.
- Manage the timely processing of credit applications, work closely with the Sales team to gather required documentation (including financial statements, proof of insurance, etc.), and communicate credit decisions with the Sales team.
- Conduct thorough financial analyses using internal data and third-party tools to make informed credit recommendations.
- Regularly review existing customer credit limits and liaise with customers to discuss credit limits and criteria for increasing them.
- Prepare and present comprehensive credit reports to the Executive Leadership Team and participate in monthly credit meetings.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve cash account discrepancies, ensure proper and accurate allocation of customer invoices, and address slow payment concerns.
- Coordinating with the General Counsel and external legal teams and providing necessary documentation to support legal actions related to collections.
- Manage Credit Department direct reports, reviewing the account set-up process and measuring predetermined KPIs.
- Mentor the accounts receivable team to provide guidance and escalation directives (as needed).
- Propose efforts to automate credit decision-making and improve the cash flow cycle.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 (three) years of experience in credit and collections.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Previous people management experience is a plus.
- Experience in the leasing, rental, or equipment finance industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of finance and commercial insurance, understanding of liability, and physical damage coverage.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree required.
