+ The Role
The successful candidate will support the business in developing embedded systems to support our customer’s needs. This will be both working on internal research and development projects or customer driven projects, through the entire development lifecycle. You’ll be part of a growing team and will form a key part in defining how we will continue to grow.
+ What will I be delivering?
- Performing a wide variety of tasks including the design, development, and verification testing of Circuit Card Assemblies.
- Performing or supporting requirements clarification, digital design, troubleshooting, hardware/software interface definition, testing and documentation.
- Working with cross-functional project teams, consisting of digital/analog hardware, software, and mechanical engineers.
- Create innovate solutions that deliver value to our customers
- Ensure that the products are designed with quality and control
- Identify risks and opportunities with mitigation strategies for projects
- Lead projects from concept to delivery
- Identify suitable supplier products to integrate
- Define/refine the product requirements
- Define test plans, carry out tests and produce test reports
- Write user manuals, datasheets and other technical documentation
- Creating technical statements of work for suppliers

+ What do I need to bring with me?
- Familiarity working with Linux, Windows, VxWorks, configuring and bringing up embedded single board computers, BIOS, graphical processing units, and drivers with various peripherals and interfaces.
- Strong background in networking, switches, routers and their configurations, network protocols, and various network security features.
- Background working with various standard interfaces such as Ethernet, Fiber Optic, USB, DP, DVI, Serial, RS422/232, MIL-STD-1553, and ARINC429.
- Familiarity with various rugged embedded industry standards like VPX, XMC, VME, CPCI and SOSA.
- Experience of taking a project from concept to delivery through the whole product lifecycle process
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelors in electrical/electronic degree or equivalent qualification.
