Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Human Resources Training and Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs for new hires and current employees. This role requires someone who can work independently, create effective training materials, and ensure that our workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. A critical part of this role includes delivering sexual harassment and safety training to ensure a safe and respectful workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and current employees.
- Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation.
- Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs of various departments within the organization.
Sexual Harassment and Safety Training:
- Develop and deliver mandatory sexual harassment prevention training in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create and implement safety training programs, ensuring all employees are aware of workplace safety procedures and standards.
- Stay current with legal requirements and best practices related to sexual harassment and workplace safety, updating training materials as necessary.
Employee Development:
- Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with managers.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure training aligns with company goals and objectives.
Performance Management:
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of trainees through assessments and feedback.
- Provide coaching and support to employees to enhance their skills and career development.
- Assist in the development of individual learning plans for employees.
Training Administration:
- Manage the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and materials distribution.
- Maintain records of employee participation in all training and development programs, including sexual harassment and safety training.
- Prepare and present reports on training program outcomes to senior management.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all training programs comply with industry standards and legal requirements, particularly in areas of sexual harassment prevention and workplace safety.
- Keep abreast of trends and best practices in training and development, incorporating relevant updates into the programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record of creating and delivering training programs.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and create reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
