Position Overview:
As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in the planning and coordination of high-rise construction projects. You will leverage your extensive experience to develop, manage, and update detailed schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your expertise will be key in identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain Schedules: Create and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), ensuring that all project phases are accurately represented and updated.
Coordinate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
Monitor Progress: Track project progress, identify deviations from the schedule, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate delays and maintain project momentum.
Forecast and Report: Provide regular updates and forecasts on project schedules, including progress reports, potential risks, and recommendations for schedule adjustments.
Resource Management: Analyze resource allocation and productivity to optimize scheduling and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop contingency plans to address them proactively.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all scheduling practices comply with company policies and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation of schedules, changes, and communications.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements by identifying best practices and implementing new tools or methodologies to enhance scheduling efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Scheduler in high-rise vertical construction projects, with a proven track record of managing complex schedules and delivering projects on time.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PSP) are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing scheduling challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
