Position Summary:
At Community Care Plan, the human resources (HR) team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. The Human Resources Generalist assists in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and provides guidance and interpretation for business operations. This role participates in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements. The Human Resources Generalist also assists in compensation and employee performance programs. The HR Generalist suggests new procedures and policies for improving the employee experience, as well as the efficiency of the HR department and company. The Human Resources Generalist will ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, updating policies and procedures when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Provides a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
- Serves as the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, hourly-employee validations, benefits changes, and payroll reports.
- Assists in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to policy development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Supports and maintains HR activities and programs, such as staffing/onboarding, payroll and benefits, i.e. coordination of events related to payroll and open enrollment.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Administers employee recognition program.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Administers the background checks and employee eligibility verifications processes.
- Supports new employee orientation programs.
- Maintains confidentiality concerning personnel actions, legal actions, termination and non-renewal documents, and organizational plans.
- Provides administrative support to the Sr. Director, Talent Enablement and CHRO as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
As a continued effort to provide a safe and productive work environment, Community Care Plan is currently following a hybrid work schedule. Staff are able to work from home 3 days a week and will report to the office 2 days a week. *****The company reserves the right to change the work schedules based on the company needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resources setting.
- PHR or SHRM-PC preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
