Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Manager at Gulf Pacific. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, conducting audits, implementing quality standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Establish systems to ensure GP and SSC products comply with FDA food safety standards through effective HACCP and Preventive Controls implementation.
- Oversee the BRC initiative for GP and SSC.
- Collaborate with management to maintain ongoing quality requirements.
- Manage programs for approving domestic and foreign suppliers.
- Verify the quality of incoming ingredients and materials.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs, including product traceability, net weight control, packaging, and overall product quality.
- Establish and maintain plant hygiene and facility sanitation standards.
- Implement environmental sampling and monitoring programs for microbiological cleanliness.
- Train team members on GMPs, food safety, allergen awareness, and chemical control.
- Provide technical expertise in quality matters.
- Establish calibration and maintenance systems for quality test equipment.
- Track and address customer complaints, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements for produced and distributed products.
- Supervise QA staff directly.
- Implement procedures for identifying and managing nonconforming products.
- Review quality performance with management and staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, or Quality Auditing.
- PCQI and HACCP Certification.
- Knowledge of GFSI requirements and regulatory standards for food products.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
