We are seeking a Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager for our Athens, GA facility. The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing the facility’s safety, health, and environmental activities to build a strong safety culture.

Looking for a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EH&S) in the GA area. The EH&S Manager is responsible for leading and managing the facilities’ safety, health, and environmental activities to build a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement actions to facilitate a strong safety culture through leadership and employee engagement
· Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA, EPA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations
· Provide guidance and support to facilities leadership on safety, health and environmental aspects of Operations
· Lead interaction with on-site Security Service provider
· Maintain the Carrier database and other safety and environmental-related records in accordance with federal, state, local, and company requirements
· Oversee, evaluate and continuously improve facilities' safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and to build a strong safety culture
· Support the Annual Safety Plan development
· Coordinate required safety documentation for the facilities (i.e. JSAs, Machine Guarding & PPE Assessments and New Equipment Evaluations)
· Review and ensure proper updating and compliance of Facility Written Programs (i.e. LOTO, PIT, and Hazcom)
· Offer support to Safety Committee and Plant Safety Project work teams led by line leadership
· Monitor “task-based of department audits” and “task-based observations” to assure it is conducted with rigor and intensity and that findings are properly addressed
· Coach site leadership to be Safety Champions and live safety as a value integrated into the way the sites operate
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 7 + years of experience in EH&S in a manufacturing industry
Nice to Have:
· Bachelor’s degree or above, in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
· Worked for a multinational company
· OSHA, PSM, EPA Regulations, Building Codes
· Prepare and submit environmental permits and forms
· Knowledge of National and Local EH&S legislation
· Confidence to lead meetings, and coach peers & leaders
· Experience in communication with external parties, including local government agency
· Organizational skills, work independently, and prioritize work to achieve deliverables
· English verbal and written communications skills
