We are seeking a driven and experienced District Sales Manager specializing in Heavy Equipment to spearhead our sales initiatives within the designated territory. Your role will involve surpassing sales goals across a diverse range of construction and heavy machinery, including solutions for asphalt paving, environmental, and solid waste management. A robust technical comprehension of the equipment, paired with superior sales acumen and relationship-building prowess, is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned quotas for construction and heavy machinery, including asphalt paving, environmental, and solid waste solutions.
- Identify potential leads and establish robust relationships with prospective clients within the designated territory.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations, emphasizing the unique features and benefits of the assigned equipment to cater to customer requirements.
- Offer technical expertise and respond to customer queries about equipment operation, capabilities, and applications.
- Secure sales deals, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Nurture existing customer relationships, encouraging loyalty and facilitating repeat business.
- Foster and sustain positive relationships with industry partners and equipment manufacturers.
- Undertake market research and competitor analysis to pinpoint sales opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Compile accurate sales reports and maintain comprehensive customer records.
- Engage in training programs to keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in equipment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry, ideally in sales or a related field.
- A proven history of surpassing sales targets and accomplishing business objectives.
- In-depth understanding of construction, environmental, and solid waste equipment applications and operations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to forge and sustain strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is advantageous.
