The Account Director, Sponsorships plays a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive media plans to maximize the impact of sponsorships and advertising campaigns for our podcasts. He/She collaborates closely with the Head of Studio Operations and the Vice President of Revenue to ensure seamless integration of brand messaging and optimal audience engagement.
Job Responsibilities
- Media Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Executive Director of Sponsorships to develop strategic media plans that align with client objectives and target audience demographics
- Campaign Execution: Implement media plans across various channels, including but not limited to audio, digital, and social media platforms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of advertising assets
- Audience Analysis: Utilize audience insights and analytics to identify trends, optimize targeting strategies, and provide recommendations for maximizing campaign effectiveness
- Budget Management: Monitor campaign budgets and performance metrics, adjusting as needed to optimize ROI and ensure adherence to financial targets
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding media planning and campaign execution, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations to drive client satisfaction and retention
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Content Production, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and integration of media plans with overall business objectives
- Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to inform media planning strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in media planning, preferably within the advertising or media industry
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful media plans across multiple channels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
- Proficiency in media planning tools and software (e.g., Nielsen, comScore, Google Analytics)
- Knowledge of podcasting industry trends and platforms is a plus
Compensation: Salary + Commission, Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
