Silver Swan is partnering with a valued client to find a skilled and passionate Private Chef with a focus on health and nutrition. Join a small, dynamic household where culinary creativity meets well-being. You will be responsible for crafting delicious, nutrient-rich meals with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, often harvested directly from the family's farm. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative kitchen that celebrates health-conscious cuisine while maintaining the highest culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Expertise:
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of health-focused cooking, integrating the latest nutritional trends and techniques.
- Craft meals that not only satisfy but nourish, adhering to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free.
- Stay informed on wellness trends to incorporate innovative concepts into daily menus.
Menu Development:
- Design seasonal, creative menus centered around fresh, farm-to-table ingredients.
- Create diverse dishes, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean, Japanese, South Asian, and Southeast Asian cuisines.
- Cater to the family’s preferences for nutritious, flavorful meals, typically preparing two meals per day (lunch and dinner).
Quality Control:
- Maintain impeccable standards in food presentation, flavor, and consistency.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols, keeping an organized and sanitary kitchen.
Collaboration with Garden Team:
- Work closely with the on-site farm team to plan and coordinate the use of freshly harvested ingredients in meals.
- Innovatively utilize farm produce to enhance both the flavor and nutritional value of dishes.
Procurement & Ordering:
- Handle food ordering and sourcing, building relationships with local suppliers.
- Manage inventory while minimizing waste and maximizing freshness.
Travel:
- Accompany the family on domestic trips, including to other U.S. residences (approximately 3-4 times per year), with live-out accommodation provided during travel.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional Chef, preferably with at least 8 years of experience and a focus on health and nutrition.
- Ability to develop flavorful, nutrient-rich meals suited to a variety of dietary restrictions.
- Previous experience working in private households is highly desirable.
- Passionate about farm-to-table cooking and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff and garden teams.
- Flexibility to travel with the family and adapt menus to suit different regional preferences.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with health, nutrition, and culinary trends.
