Location: Silver Spring, MD (fully on-site)
Our client is seeking a Support Engineer to provide expert solution development, product deployment, and technical support for the enterprise's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and SaaS platforms. This role involves managing and optimizing the Enterprise Azure cloud environment and on-premises authentication, including Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Azure cloud environment and on-premises authentication, including SSO configurations.
- Monitor and report on Microsoft 365 services, endpoint security, and system patch statuses.
- Provide onsite support for conferencing and access points.
- Act as a first responder for IT-related issues and provide technical support to enterprise staff.
- Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery and security.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards across all systems.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of both Windows and Apple OS environments, including device management through Intune, JAMF, or similar services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the planning, deployment, and training of enterprise-grade applications.
- Manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and network components, including Meraki services.
- Implement and support mobile device management (MDM) solutions for both Apple and Android devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5+ years of specific IT support experience OR 9 years of IT-specific support and operations experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure and Active Directory workstation environments.
- 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft OS, software deployment, patching, and endpoint monitoring.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Experience with Meraki networking components and services.
- Experience managing Apple OS endpoints using Intune, JAMF, or similar services.
- Experience supporting mobile devices (Apple & Android).
- Expertise in managing mid-to-large technology portfolios.
- Strong focus on security best practices for endpoint management.
- Experience in vendor management, including purchasing and invoicing processes.
