Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S4 Program Manager with a strong background in the public sector to drive an IT transformation PMO capability for multiple client markets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in effectively managing and delivering large federal IT transformation projects to include SAP S4 HANA programs within the US Federal Government. This role requires successful stakeholder engagement, requirements generation, functional and technical knowledge and leadership with SAP projects (specifically S4 HANA), performance management (metric analysis and SLAs tracking), and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of an SAP S4 HANA Program Management Office (PMO) for large scale Federal client transformation from legacy SAP ECC.
- Develop a PMO team to analyze requirements and create roadmap for system integrator deployment.
- Create governance models to review requirements and manage change while focusing on configuration vs. development solutions.
- Oversee performance metric development and monitoring to confirm system integrator is delivering the intended value defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Review critical technical milestones such as blueprint, Test Plan, Initial Operating Capability, etc. as a trusted advisor to client.
- Oversee change management strategy, communications strategy, and training plan for the SAP S4 HANA deployment.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure program success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants, business analysts, and technical experts, to deliver the program's objectives.
- Manage risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
- Ensure compliance with public sector regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle including a focus on maintaining financial auditability of systems environment.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
What You Will Need:
Experience:
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, a master's degree may be used in lieu of 2 years of experience.
- Minimum of TEN (10) years of experience in SAP Program Management, with a focus on SAP S4 HANA implementations.
- Experience in driving large-scale SAP transformations in complex environments.
- Experience working with public sector clients.

- Strong leadership and technical skills with the ability to manage an integrated multi-disciplined team to deliver a successful SAP S4 HANA deployment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage program budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on driving results and ensuring project success.
- Must be located in the Washington DC Metro area and have the ability to meet the team and the client for in person meetings.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- SAP S4 HANA certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prior experience working with federal government agencies.
- Knowledge of the US Department of Defense.
- Current US Federal Government security clearance, or willingness to obtain a Secret Level Clearance.
