Our client has a very strong opportunity for a Procurement Manager. This role is a newly created position, and this individual will be responsible for the organization’s whole procurement process. The total capital budget for 2025 is approximately $250 million with additional $20 million more in maintenance, materials, supplies, professional services, and contract services. This position will be responsible for managing 3-5 employees.
This role demands strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and an understanding of market dynamics to optimize procurement strategies .
The Procurement Manager will manage 3-5 employees.
• Oversees the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and
services while maintaining quality standards.
• Communicates regularly with management regarding the efficient flow of goods and services, cost analysis,
and sets benchmarks for improvement.
• Leads the procurement team by developing and implementing procurement strategies, goals, and
objectives.
• Manages vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, oversees supplier relations, and identifies cost-saving
opportunities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Prior work in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing; preferably 5+ years.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
