Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Associate to join GEM’s Equity Capital Markets group, which is responsible for capital raising, new fund launches, investor services, and reporting. In this role you will be part of an established team, working directly for the firm’s Head of Capital Raising and collaborating with individuals across the firm. You will have the opportunity to support all GEM capital raising initiatives, including closed end real estate vehicles, co-investment, and hedged and long only public real estate funds.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising: Actively participate in marketing/fundraising efforts. Identify and engage with key investor prospects and attend industry conferences and events.
Relationship Management: Initiate, build, and maintain strong relationships with existing investors.
Content Creation: Produce marketing decks for fund launches and customized presentations. Ensure accuracy and consistency of message across GEM’s strategies.
CRM Database: Support capital raising initiatives by managing fundraising pipeline, researching prospective investors, and expanding CRM functionality to improve GEM processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in an investor-facing marketing or client service role
- Proficiency in CRM management, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and communications
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to craft and deliver the GEM story
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively solve problems
