Blue Chip Talent is seeking a Facilities Technician/Specialist with experience in maintaining, repairing, and improving all aspects of the facility. The role involves ensuring the proper operation of facilities and equipment and peak efficiency. The responsibilities also include overseeing various construction projects and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility, as well as ensuring a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Regulate/shut down equipment during emergencies or as directed by supervisory personnel.
- Ensure operation of facility machinery & mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment & techniques.
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment requiring proper testing and licensing.
- Coordinate and assist with departmental and employee moves.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed change.
- Document actions by completing maintenance logs and checklists.
- Maintain supplies by checking stock and anticipating and requesting needed supplies.
- See construction projects through correctly, on a timely basis, and at a high standard.
- Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is correct and complete.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening for problems using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Cleanroom cleaning follows proper documentation and schedules.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC work and repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations, and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment.
- Utilize company vehicles maintaining vehicle safety and condition, protecting load by complying with organizational policies and procedures, and following highway rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical School or related experience.
- 3+ years in a maintenance/manufacturing environment.
- General mechanical, maintenance, and cleaning ability.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills/Abilities
- Proven ability to communicate with executives, peers, and team members.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand and maintain proper documentation.
- Experience with material handling equipment and shop tools.
