We are seeking a highly skilled Dynamics 365 F&SCM (Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics AX) Technical Architect for a contract opportunity to lead discovery workshops for a client in the natural gas industry. The successful candidate must be familiar with the sector’s unique requirements and will be responsible for defining and outlining the capabilities of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to identify gaps, customizations, and integration needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with the client to understand their specific business processes, requirements, and key objectives.
- Clearly articulate the capabilities of Dynamics 365 F&O, providing expert advice on how it can address the client’s needs within the natural gas industry.
- Analyze business processes to identify gaps where customizations, extensions, or third-party integrations may be required.
- Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements, working closely with the client’s stakeholders.
- Provide high-level solution architecture, ensuring alignment with the client’s overall technology strategy.
- Design and outline integration strategies for third-party systems to ensure seamless interactions with Dynamics 365.
- Develop detailed documentation outlining identified gaps, required customizations, and proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with implementation teams, offering technical guidance on design, configuration, and customization.
- Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM platform updates, best practices, and industry trends relevant to the natural gas sector.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and solution presentations to potential clients.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Architect with Dynamics 365 F&O or F&SCM.
- Experience running discovery workshops and gathering business requirements.
- Familiarity with the natural gas industry and understanding of its specific business challenges and opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of Finance and Supply Chain processes supported by Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Ability to identify gaps, customizations, and integration needs.
- Proven experience in designing technical solutions and integration architectures.
- Knowledge of Power Platform, Azure services, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 F&SCM or F&O preferred.
