LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Reactive Technician for our client in Simpsonville, SC. This role is crucial in performing a variety of maintenance activities, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment (both electrical and mechanical) to ensure optimal performance and support the client’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities equipment.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Conduct simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Execute maintenance skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service tasks.
- Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Handle a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform tasks.
- Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual situations to supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Work a 12-hour rotating schedule (3 days on / 3 days off).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work night shifts.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to understand and interpret process settings and centerlines.
- Proficiency with calculators and ability to read and interpret product codes, production schedules, and operations documents.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and strong mechanical abilities.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using standard and metric systems.
- Statistical analysis skills and the ability to establish and audit against goals.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently lift/move up to 25-50 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking, standing for extended periods, and strenuous physical labor in extreme temperatures.
- Requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Schedule:
12-hour rotating schedule (3 days on / 3 days off).
