LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time Information Security Specialist to work a hybrid schedule for our client in Irvine, CA. The Information Security Specialist - GRC role involves leading information security risk management programs focused on technology and security compliance. Located in Irvine, CA, this hybrid position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, including risk management and assessments, along with strong technical proficiency. The specialist will conduct risk assessments, develop risk management strategies, and create metrics and dashboards to communicate security risks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in information security, encompassing risk management, risk assessments, reporting, and metrics analysis, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: security engineering, network security, identity and access management, security operations, or software development security.
- 3+ years in technical roles, demonstrating strong technical proficiency.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits.
- Strong understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Experience in generating and interpreting information security metrics and reports.
- Proven ability to build and enhance information security risk management practices.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GSNA, or similar are highly desirable.
- Technical certifications such as GCIH, GPEN, CEH, OSCP, or similar are also highly desirable.
Compensation/Benefits: $135,000-190,000
