LHH is partnering with a top International Manufacturer who is looking for a strong Facilities Manager to join their team! The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Industrial Manufacturing setting, overseeing maintenance for multiple facilities, and knowledgeable in Kaizen practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination:
- Plan and direct the activities of the Maintenance Department to meet equipment and facility maintenance needs.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments to maximize operational efficiency.
- Collaboration and Standards:
- Work closely with management to establish production and quality control standards, as well as develop budgets and cost controls.
- Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and address equipment functionality issues and downtime.
- Policy Compliance:
- Support and ensure adherence to all company policies outlined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, Safety Policy Handbook, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Resource Optimization:
- Plan and propose strategies for the optimal use of equipment, personnel, and supplies to achieve departmental goals cost-effectively.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen activities.
- Recruitment and Training:
- Interview candidates in compliance with applicable laws and train new employees to ensure they meet departmental standards.
- Workforce Harmony:
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and respectful treatment of employees, while maintaining discipline within the department.
- Administer disciplinary actions in line with established company procedures.
- Payroll Support:
- Ensure timely input of employee information into Kronos to assist with weekly payroll preparation.
- Performance Management:
- Conduct annual performance reviews for hourly employees, provide feedback, and recommend wage adjustments, promotions, or other employment changes as needed.
- Quality and Safety Initiatives:
- Recommend and implement corrective actions based on quality audits and promote safety by actively supporting company safety policies and programs.
- Report any incidents, regardless of severity, to the Safety Department and senior management.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Ensure compliance with scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance routines to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Order necessary supplies for the department.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree or 5-8 years of relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate.
- Knowledge of foundry processes, preventative maintenance programs, and continuous improvement practices is preferred.
