The Controls Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting pre-sales, production, and post-sales efforts by developing, designing, implementing, and providing ongoing support for industrial control panels and systems used in fuel management applications. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality control systems and ensure seamless integration, functionality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design electrical and control systems for new products, product revisions, and custom solutions based on customer specifications.
- Program PLCs for OEM equipment, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
- Develop and execute test methods for hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform control load calculations, select components, and design layouts for control panels.
- Assist production teams by providing training and developing production drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Produce accurate designs and documentation that meet project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage CAD packages, drawings, diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for assigned projects.
- Create system manuals, installation instructions, and sequence of operation documentation.
- Provide technical support to internal teams, including Project Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Sales.
- Propose ideas for cost reduction and product improvement to enhance overall system value.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- Proven experience as a Product Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with UL Standards and ladder logic/function block PLC programming.
