Title: Branch Manager, Freight Forwarding
Location: Houston, Texas
Salary: $150,000-180,000 base + bonus + benefits
Overview: JBAndrews are partnered with a global Freight Forwarder as they look to appoint a Branch Manager for their Houston Office. The position will hold full scope of P&L, hiring, training and development of the region. The Branch is the largest in the network, with 60+ FTEs and services air, ocean, import, export, customs brokerage as well as having 2 warehouses and their own drayage team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all aspects of the Houston operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure operational growth and success.
- Exhibit a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive and hands-on leadership approach.
- Utilize deep knowledge of the Houston logistics market and experience in managing a logistics company.
- Enhance operations with experience in contracted distribution services and warehouse racking systems (preferred).
External Interaction:
- Engage with local and international customers.
- Coordinate with strategic service providers, including transporters, brokers, port operators, carrier agents, freight forwarders, and vendors.
- Participate in various C&F and Project Cargo Networks and events.
Internal Interaction:
- Collaborate with departments such as Commercial, Compliance, HSEC, and Finance.
- Communicate with overseas offices and branches.

Requirements:
- Senior Management experience overseeing teams of 50 or more.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or management (preferred).
- At least 10 years of management experience in a commercial environment, including sales, warehousing operations, and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and logistics management, clearing and forwarding services.
- Proficient in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, quality control, and cost management.
- Adaptability to changing conditions, high volume levels of activity, and ability to multitask.
- Strong analytical skills for operational and financial decision-making (KPI).
- Resourcefulness, commercial acumen, and entrepreneurial flair.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Results-oriented with superior leadership and influencing skills, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required, often on short notice.
- Availability after hours and flexibility to work with partners in different time zones as needed.
