We are looking for a results-oriented Senior C&I Relationship Manager to join our Middle Market Banking team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive business growth by strategically selecting and engaging Emerging Middle Market (EMM) customers, deepening client relationships, and delivering tailored financial solutions. You’ll work with a talented team to build comprehensive C&I (Commercial & Industrial) relationships and position our bank as the primary financial partner for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Client Selection & Growth:
- Focus on intentional customer selection within the Emerging Middle Market (EMM) to grow the bank’s portfolio. Build complete C&I relationships through a disciplined approach, offering the full suite of banking products.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Acquire, deepen, and retain customer relationships by proactively engaging clients through consistent outreach activities aligned with Middle Market Banking Standards of Care. Build long-lasting, cross-product relationships, ensuring the bank becomes the primary financial partner.
Strategic Advisory & Thought Leadership:
- Add value to client relationships by providing proactive strategic guidance, insights, and thought leadership. Position yourself as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate their business challenges and achieve their financial goals.
CRM Utilization & Relationship Records:
- Fully leverage CRM systems to manage client and prospect relationships effectively. Ensure all relationship activities, including customer engagement and pipeline management, are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
Internal Collaboration & Solution Consulting:
- Work closely with internal partner groups to identify and recommend the best-fit solutions for your clients. Build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams to maximize the value delivered to customers.
Required Qualifications:
- 9+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience
- Proven experience in managing commercial accounts and deepening client relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of core banking products, including deposits, commercial credit, and treasury management.
- Demonstrated credit acumen and experience handling moderately complex credit and debt structures.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in interest rates, pricing, terms, and collateral requirements.
- Proven track record in sales pipeline management and consistently delivering strong sales performance.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
