Job Title: Senior Market Strategy Manager (Biomarker Discovery)
Reports to: Associate Director, Market Strategy
About the Role:
This Senior Market Strategy Manager position plays a pivotal role in driving global market growth by focusing on strategic sales and customer development activities. The role requires an in-depth understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor landscapes, especially within the Biomarker Discovery space. By engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), sales teams, and attending industry events, this role will help shape business plans, launch strategies, and new product initiatives. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D and Product Management to ensure alignment with market requirements and customer expectations.
This is an on-site position based in San Jose, CA, and requires approximately 30% travel, including international trips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the company’s strategic vision for the Biomarker Discovery market.
- Stay informed of current and future market trends, competition, and pricing analysis, and communicate these insights effectively.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, collecting and analyzing customer feedback to drive strategy.
- Lead market strategy meetings, develop business plans, and collaborate with R&D and Product Management on product development.
- Build strong relationships with KOLs and scientific societies, supporting partnerships and advancing product objectives.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including product launch plans, sales training, and messaging.
- Represent the company at technical society meetings and trade shows, leading customer workshops and content marketing efforts.
- Conduct outbound marketing activities, such as webinars, to enhance market presence and credibility.
- Provide market-focused training to both new and existing employees.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree required; MS or Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in selling or marketing relevant products, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Expertise in next-generation sequencing technologies, including single-cell and spatial technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presenting.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative team player who can build strong relationships across functions.
