Job Description:
Looking for an experienced Monitoring Tools Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be the technical expert for specific core monitoring tools and work directly with our application production support and application development partners to ensure the proper installation, setting of thresholds and dashboard configuration.
You'll be working with industry-leading products, you will experience how you can be a game changer, enabling applications to have less downtime than ever before. Rollout of Dynatrace as the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications, replacing AppDynamics.
Host demos, overviews, and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools Partner with the Production support teams/Engineering teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool.
College degree preferred Several years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications
- Individual will need to be proficient in the support of Dynatrace Managed including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging the tool as an Application Performance Monitoring capability
- Proven experience with one or more supporting monitoring tools such as –Splunk, SiteScope, Microfocus BPM, Catchpoint - Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc. - Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET) - Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring - Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.) - Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes - An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role - A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skills
