Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Construction Project Manager to join this dynamic team and assist in managing exciting commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry, working on high-profile retail and hospitality builds that shape Philadelphia’s business landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with designers, architects, and brand representatives to ensure the project meets client specifications and reflects brand standards.
- Support in coordinating subcontractors, managing the procurement of materials, and handling on-site logistics to keep projects running smoothly.
- Help ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and city permitting requirements.
- Participate in scheduling and conducting site inspections to ensure project quality, addressing any construction issues as they arise.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring that senior project managers and stakeholders are kept informed.
- Aid in managing the fast-track schedules that are typical of retail and hospitality construction, balancing multiple trades and phases of work.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in construction management, preferably with exposure to commercial projects in retail, hospitality, or restaurant construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or CMiC.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
