Overview:
Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our Quality Management Systems (QMS) that support corporate headquarters, manufacturing locations, and the service branch locations. This position works directly with the Quality Director, senior management and supporting quality staff to ensure the company utilizes all existing data, the QMS, and supporting business applications to drive and implement continual improvement and reduce risk throughout the company.
Responsibilities:
- Practice and promote safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
- Identify and implement new processes and procedures to support management of change activities relating to company standard and industry standards API 6A, API Q2, API Q1 and all reference standards to ensure technical and quality compliance with the applicable QMS requirements.
- Assist with the applicable QMS for US and overseas branches or manufacturing locations as required.
- Work with branch management to define specific Branch Customer Requirements to communicate specific customer needs to the branch network.
- Improve company business processes through automation of manual processes using existing company applications Syteline, UniPoint, SharePoint or custom web access applications to eliminate redundancy and human error while driving efficiency.
- Establish improvement teams as required and provide reports to senior management on progress of improvement team projects, products, quality, new initiatives.
- Participate in our auditing process by conducting branch assessments, QMS internal audits, product audits, vendor audits, process audits, or e-audits.
- Lead or participate in the Supplier Management Process inclusive of qualification, approval, and evaluation of suppliers, developing purchasing specifications to address the API Supply Chain Management standards.
- Lead or assist with investigations, corrective action solutions and follow up activities for branch responsible Field Performance Reports (FPR) and the company notification of potential problems through the creation and release of Field Advisories, Toolbox Talks and Quality Alerts.
- Assist with the review of Industry Standards and API Interpretations and communicating change impact to the organization.
- Develop and provide training, guidance, and assistance as needed on matters related to the applicable QMS to educate our associates.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
- Quality Management Systems in accordance with API Q1, API Q2, ISO 9001
- Mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic experience
- Measuring/testing equipment and dimensional inspection. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- API and ISO product experience; AWS, ASME, ANSI standards/specifications experience
- Corrective action & field complaint investigations
