Selby Jennings is working with a Houston based Private Equity firm with $1.7B AUM that makes $30 - 150M control equity investments in the North American energy industry. Their portfolio is primarily upstream O&G with plans in the near future of diversifying their strategy across the Energy space. They have raised and deployed three funds, recently closed on their 4th Fund, and will raise a separate credit focused fund in the near future.
Qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor’s or graduate degree (preferably in finance)
- Have at least 2+ years direct experience in an energy finance role (energy exposure in energy private equity, investment banking, or equity research preferred)
- Exhibit strong financial modeling and analysis skills
- Be detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio companies via analysis of capital projects, financial models, and asset performance
- Manage ongoing financial models for portfolio companies
- Conduct industry research related to the portfolio and other investment opportunities
- Develop financial and technical analysis for new investment opportunities
- Perform quarterly portfolio company valuations and quarterly reporting functions
- Create investor relations and fundraising materials for current and prospective LPs
- Be a strong contributor to the overall operations and success of the firm
