Job Title - IT Software Engineer 5 (UI Engineer/ Frontend Developer)
Location: Chicago, IL office - Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months, possibility to extend
Work model: Thursday onsite, however need to be in office when asked Daily Schedule (including any anticipated weekly/monthly OT) - Monday thru Friday; 1st shift 9am- 5pm
Education & Experience Required:
- Position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and 10+ years exp
Technical Skills
- Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining intuitive and performant UI.
- Integration and development with Grafana visualization
- Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) with multiple other teams
- Strong understanding and/or experience in some of the following, UI middleware and mocking technologies and tools like Redux-Saga and Mirage JS
- Experience working with API development tools like Swagger and Postman
- AWS Cloud, automated CICD and BDD with Cucumber.
- 5+ years or more of experience with TypeScript, React and Redux
- 8 to 10 years of overall experience in web application and UI development with other skills such as Jest, Webpack, RESTful API, HTML 5 and CSS3.
- Experience building new web application, leading major technical POCs and developing higher order re-usable UI components such as dashboard, widget and custom table…etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
- Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment

UI Engineer: The primary purpose of the role is to provide independent contribution for UI/front-end design and development of modern cloud-based customer facing Client’s Foresight web application by collaborating with architects, other front-end and backend teams, PO/PM, Scrum Master and Engineering Manager stakeholders. will be part of a fast-moving global team to build a best-in-class product for Client’s dealers worldwide to improve operational efficiency and reduce TCO.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- As a Sr. Front End Developer, you will be responsible for solution design following modern/standard UI best practices, contributing hands-on code development, maintenance of technical debt (PRs, performance, UX improvements, Storybook/re-usable components, NFR…etc.), leading POCs or major Spikes and help with the refinement of the requirements into technical features & user stories. To effectively deliver, you would collaborate with other front-end/backend leads/teams, end to end architects, PO/PMs, Scrum Masters and Engineering managers.
