Oil and Gas IT Enterprise Applications Support
We are looking for an Oil and Gas IT Enterprise Applications Support to maintain and optimize our client’s ERP systems, ensuring smooth operations across key business areas like Accounting, Finance, Land, and Division Order functions.
As the primary IT support analyst for ERP-related systems, you'll work with platforms such as:
- Enertia
- Quorum Execute Suite (AFE Navigator, RTX)
- Enersight
- LeaseQuery
This role is ideal for someone eager to learn about processes within an upstream energy company and apply their technical expertise to deliver ERP solutions. You'll manage incident triage, provide technical support, and help improve business processes by addressing software issues, analyzing incidents, and collaborating with vendors.
As you grow in the role and take on more complex tasks, you’ll expand your scope of support and mentor other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Support:
- Ensure system availability and data integrity.
- Triage and resolve software-related incidents, escalating issues to vendors when necessary.
- Provide technical support and training to end users.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Configuration & Process Improvement:
- Configure ERP software modules to meet business needs.
- Lead and participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Apply IT best practices for system configuration.
Data Analysis & Development:
- Extract and analyze data from on-premise SQL databases.
- Generate reports and meaningful data extracts for stakeholders.
- Develop SQL scripts, following a change control framework.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Document system changes, configurations, and procedures.
- Communicate proactively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Lead SOX audit reporting and evidence collection for assigned applications.
- Mentor and cross-train team members in technical and functional areas.
- Occasional travel and weekend work may be required to support business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Enertia in an Application Support role.
- Must have 4 years of experience in the upstream energy industry.
- Strong understanding of upstream business processes, including Revenue Accounting, Division Order, Land, AFE, AP, and JIB.
This role is hybrid. Candidate should live in Houston and be willing to go into the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
