As the Regional Director of Administration, you will oversee the operations of two flagship offices on the West Coast, playing a key role in driving efficiency and supporting firm initiatives. The Regional Director of Administration acts as the main liaison between West Coast offices and firm leadership, reporting directly to an out of state Chief and collaborating with local Office Managing Partners. The position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of daily office functions, including strategic planning and the implementation of firmwide policies. In this role, the Director leads the local teams in both Los Angeles and San Francisco; the role can be based out of either office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily management of the West Coast offices, ensuring efficiency and high service levels.
- Manage operational functions, including office services, facilities, administrative staff, and hospitality.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support firmwide strategic initiatives, short- and long-term planning, and operations.
- Manage office space planning, renovations, and furniture procurement.
- Supervise local leadership teams in regional offices and outsourced service providers as necessary.
- Prepare and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for regional offices.
- Work with the HR team to ensure consistency in communication, onboarding, and staff management for the West Coast offices.
- Participate in performance evaluations, salary reviews, and staffing decisions.
- Manage staff performance issues, terminations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR leadership.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in office management within a law firm, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on quality, productivity, and service excellence.
- Experience overseeing multiple offices, hybrid workforces, lease negotiations, and office buildouts.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
