Position Summary:
As a Telecommunications Operator, you will handle a high volume of calls while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Your responsibilities will include processing codes and trauma calls quickly, monitoring alarm systems, and ensuring that the appropriate personnel are promptly notified.
Essential Functions:
- Handle High Call Volumes: Answer and process a large number of calls accurately, professionally, and with a positive attitude.
- Process Emergency Codes and Trauma Calls: Respond to and process codes and trauma calls swiftly and accurately, ensuring the right teams are alerted.
- Monitor Alarm Systems: Keep track of various alarm systems, notifying the appropriate personnel quickly and efficiently when alarms are activated.
- Call Transfers: Transfer calls to the correct room, department, or individual with a warm and seamless handoff.
- Operate Specialized Systems: Use specialized computer systems and consoles to quickly process messages, work orders, and service requests.
- Follow Protocols: Accurately read, interpret, and follow processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Dispatch Personnel: Communicate with staff via radio or paging system to dispatch the necessary technicians or personnel for assistance.
