My Amazing Client is hiring for a Business Engineer to join their team!!
You will be responsible for assisting the team in the efficient, operation and maintenance of related building systems and building repairs. Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Assist in monitoring building automation systems (BMS) HVAC operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Salary Range: $87,360 - $101,920 DOE
Essential Functions:
- Operating and performing comprehensive preventive maintenance on building equipment.
- Conducting various repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Responding to building emergencies as required.
- Addressing tenant service requests and work orders via YARDI.
- Interacting professionally with vendors and contractors.
- Regularly inspecting mechanical areas to assess equipment operation and parameters.
- Handling HVAC service calls as needed.
- Regularly checking buildings to maintain appropriate temperatures for tenant areas.
- Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping practices.
- Replacing lamps and ballasts as necessary.
- Ensuring proper operation of all exterior lighting and managing operational schedules.
- Performing general structural and landscaping inspections.
- Repairing or installing latch sets and miscellaneous door hardware.
- Coordinating with the Chief Building Engineer on the operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Supporting the preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment failure and maximize efficiency, following Ethan Conrad Properties guidelines.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as requested.
- Being a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Participating in the Energy Team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of HVAC building codes.
- 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC Building Engineer.
- Strong math and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and organized.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, integrity, and honesty.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, client employees, senior management, staff, and vendors.
- General repair and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in HVAC and Refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and BMS energy management systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma, Technical Trade school education, Union Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
- EPA Certification required.
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial office buildings or similar operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience with HVAC BMS controls.
