Job Summary:
The Sales Director for our organization is a strategic leader responsible for driving sales growth, developing key client relationships, and expanding market share. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to set sales goals and create action plans.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee the sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring efficient and effective sales processes.

- Develop and monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Market Analysis and Business Development:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.

- Identify and pursue new business leads, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of logistics solutions and client satisfaction.
- Liaise with finance and customer service teams to address any issues affecting client accounts.
Reporting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries to senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Sales Director or similar leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, market dynamics, and industry trends.
