We have a high-visibility opportunity for a Director of Engineering C5ISR who is responsible for managing all phases of program and project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes. You will manage the Engineering Professional Services group and represent company and division for growth.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas or regions.
- Deploys resources to achieve financial and business objectives across multiple functional areas including, but limited to financial reporting, invoicing, and cash management.
- Shapes and integrates functional strategies.
- Has in-depth functional and business expertise.
- Applies expertise to create financial and operational solutions that apply across multiple functional areas.
- Leverages relationships with key internal/external customers to support business needs.
- Identifies business issues that may impact organizational results.
- Manages and deploys resources within and/or across multiple functional areas.
- Directs the resolution of extraordinarily complex or unusual business problems that cross functional lines.
- Develops business plans to achieve functional or cross-functional objectives.
- Negotiates with and /influences customers and/or organizational leadership to set priorities and solidify relationships.
- Leverages the performance management cycle to motivate employees and support achievement.
- Directs preparation of work plans, supervises project teams, and manages project scope, budget and schedule.
- Establishes and monitors project safety and quality programs.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
- Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget.
- Functions as seller-doer, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing proposals, coordinating contract negotiations, etc., as well as managing project execution.
- Represents the company to client and maintains client relationship.
- Understands relationships between work processes and the business.
- Organizes work to meet deadlines set by others.
- Builds team effectiveness skills within work team.
- May be responsible for all phases of planning and execution of the largest and most complex of projects.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
- Participates in the marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Works with sales/product development teams to develop a vision, growth and business plan for the industrial/mechanical segment, develops annual budgets for revenue and profit growth, bid/proposal expenditure, and other related indirect cost elements.
- Participates in staffing decisions for proposals and projects, works with HR/Recruitment as well as the Center of Excellence to recruit and hire staff as needed to execute proposals and projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi $100 million+ projects.
- Expertise in C5ISR or C4ISR technology.
- Must have experience providing these services to Federal Government agencies such as FEMA, HHS, DOD, etc.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Direct relevant knowledge of Engineering.
- 15 years+ of project management experience in delivering projects for the Federal Government.
- Demonstrated project management experience on three or more $20 million+ Federal programs/projects.
- Understands the policies, processes, and procedures of Federal build from plan and design-build construction projects.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) throughout the workday.
